Enhancing the Environment
In addition to providing farmers with the ability to improve their on-farm efficiency and profitability, agricultural biotechnology's greatest benefit has been to our environment.
Today's science and technology has reduced the applications of crop-protection materials, which have resulted in farming practices that improve both air and water quality, and reduce soil erosion by reducing the amount of time a tractor drives through a field. Lessening the time tractors work the ground reduces diesel emissions, soil compaction, erosion and dust.
